…Meaningful stories, for the vulnerability, the wisdom and because I get to know you more.

This one reminds me of a time when I visoted Colorado. While LeVon and I were packing to go camping you said something that stayed with me “you guys are in trouble”. At the time I brushed it off with a joke. I knew it was true and didn’t know how to handle it (along the rest of the things that had piled on me). I share this because sometimes you don’t know what your words or efforts mean for someone else. You may not remember this or have thought your words didnt mean a thing. But they did and they do. Maybe for your dad Your efforts meant something too.

That's really kind, Rudy. Thank you so much for reading and for responding! You're right - I don't remember saying that. But, I very much remember that moment! Your camping trip might have had its ups and downs, but the memories you two have together are more important than the discomforts of the moment.

I've had a few reminders lately of your point here. Sometimes we think our words are not that impactful, or that they don't resonate, or that nobody is listening. Sometimes that's true, but we never really know how our words land. Maybe they are more important than we give ourselves credit for.

Thank you for a little dose of encouragement and love. Appreciate you!

All beautiful reminders of what's meaningful and how much pain accompanies the growth. xo
